Eastwood, seriously, again and again

Clint's got a new movie coming out, so we have to have articles about how he's a better actor than everyone thought, and how he's a great director.

I've been an Eastwood fan since "Magnum Force" (which was a crappy movie, but it was Dirty Harry!) so I have read lots of Eastwood articles. Originally the articles were, "Gee, he doesn't have any acting range, but what he does he does well." And then it was, "Oh look, he's trying to direct."

Now? Made it, Ma! Top of the world!

I really like Clint Eastwood... about half the time (the director... the actor to a much lesser extent). He has made some truly great movies (Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, High Plains Drifter)... and some unbelievably terrible movies (Blood Work comes to mind).

However, I do unreservedly love White Heat.

I like Clint the actor more than Clint the director, but Clint the actor seems to only act in pictures directed by Clint the director.

I don't think "Blood Work" is as bad as "The Rookie." I'd take Jeff Daniels over Charlie Sheen any day. But both movies have good bits here and there.

That'd be a good topic: Bad Eastwood movies. Hmm.

Just an observation here. Am I seeing things, or does it not say "The Fall of Lehman Brothers Part 2" at the bottom of that 1985 photo?

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

That's funny. I didn't notice that secondary headline.

I think we are now well into "The Fall of Lehman Brothers Part 3."
